Bespoke tailoring
People always ask me what does bespoke mean? What is the difference between made to measure and bespoke?
Bespoke is a term that dates from 17th century when tailors held full lengths of cloth on the premises (as I do today). When a customer chose a cloth it was said to have been bespoken for and the tailor would then go on to make the garments to the customer’s personal measurements and specific requirements, made by an individual for an individual.
It would not be made to a measurement and then altered to fit the customer.
All our garments are measured (unless we come out and see you!) cut, made and finished in house- Why not come and see us at work!!
We have a wide range of cloths to choose from including books from such revered names as Dormeuil and British made cloths from Brook Taverner.
Your Bespoke experience should exceed all your expectations and create a unique feeling that you just don’t get anywhere else.
